Adoption Event a Success!
On June 28th and 29th, the SPCA of Clear Lake held a two-day adoption special featuring both dogs and cats in which prices for the adoptable animals were greatly reduced. The Cat and Dog Days of Summer Event was prompted due to a recent influx of kittens and puppies bringing the facility to capacity.

Lynn and Bruce

Lynn and Bruce love their new dog Daisy.

People came from far and wide, some as far away as Fairfield, to have a chance to adopt these healthy, happy pets who had already been spayed or neutered and received their first vaccinations. Staff members and volunteers worked with each family to assure that the temperament of each animal was a perfect fit for each family. Both young and old adoptees had smiles on their faces as they left with their new furry family member enroute to their new forever home. At the end of the event, twenty-nine cats and kittens along with ten dogs and puppies were adopted! <MORE>

Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic
Did you know that the SPCA of Clear Lake is also a low cost SPAY & NEUTER clinic and that in most areas the dogs and cats that are sterilized have reduced licence fees? In most areas of Lake County the fee difference in licencing alone can be $60.00 a year! Spaying and Neutering is better for your pet, helps to reduce pet overpopulation, AND saves you money. Other Great Things
Other great things are happening at the SPCA of Clear Lake as well. If you haven’t been there in a while, you will notice a few changes are in the works. Our Adopt-A-Brick Program has been relaunched and the walls are looking better than ever as each of these colorful memorials to special pets are added. If you would like to Adopt-A-Brick in memory of your special pet, they are available for just forty dollars each.
